Oh London you did not disappoint on my third visit. You were even better than I remember. The cherry on top? Visiting over the holidays. Sure it was expensive, but at the end of the day totally worth it! I created new memories and brought in the new year with such positive energy from familiar faces and some not so familiar from all walks of life. Exactly how I wanted to envision 2025.
In this post, I will highlight the properties that I was fortunate enough to experience during this trip although there are so many to choose from depending on your budget. I will share the two new properties that I can now add to my vault of insider knowledge for my travel clients. Booking with @SOL_BTRAVEL allows you access to luxury properties with special perks and amenities.
BROADWICK SOHO, an independent luxury hotel located in the heart of London’s West End in the vibrant Soho neighborhood.
The BROADWICK SOHO describes itself as seductive and characterful and I couldn’t agree more. The design and decor is the first thing that catches your eye before you even walk through the front door with this fun and eye catching building facade art installation. The first word that comes to mind when I think of this property is eccentric.
Interestingly enough, while the neighborhood itself has that hustle and bustle energy with many moving bodies, as soon as you walk through the front door it’s as if you have been transported into tranquility with a touch of intriguing mystery. So many nooks and crannies to explore at this property. It’s no surprise they earned themselves one Michelin key.
Beginning with The Nook, an exclusive guest only lounge on the ground floor. We were escorted into this lounge upon arrival since we arrived way before the official check-in time. We enjoyed our breakfast next to a roaring fireplace surrounded by a designers delight for the eyes. We were rejuvenated after a long flight providing us with enough energy to explore the neighborhood on foot until our room was ready for check-in shortly after.
More… Design… Standouts… Wallpapers & Lighting Fixtures, Unique Artwork, Dear Jackie (Italian restaurant), Restrooms worthy of a snapshot and Guest Room features. I fell in love with the brass hand accent on the bedframe.
Last but not least, regardless if you are staying at this property, be sure to add their rooftop bar Flute to your itinerary. Indoor/Outdoor seating options with great views including the London Eye. The bar itself is spectacular, featured below with the mandatory martini.
The second hotel we stayed at was THE MILESTONE HOTEL & RESIDENCES, a five-star boutique hotel located in the heart of Kensington. Conveniently located directly across Kensington Palace. This stay provided us with an entirely different experience within the same trip. Think “Historic British Charm”.
Another great area that is walking distance to many notable sites and attractions such as Kensington Palace & Gardens, Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park & Holland Park, museums, pubs and shopping of course in neighborhoods such as Notting Hill and Chelsea.
In addition to the interesting historic and architectural history attached to this hotel, the team here deserves a special shout out for their warm and attentive hospitality.
As far as dining & drinks, be sure to enjoy a cocktail at their Stables Bar which provides the perfect amount of moody vibe while also serving up cool little hideaway spots throughout. Or soak up some natural light in their conservatory space.
Breakfast was served in their Cheneston’s Restaurant which immediately provides that Victorian charm and reminds you of the historic walls surrounding you. I’ve never been more relaxed at a breakfast.
The Milestone Hotel & Residences. a five star boutique hotel located in the heart of Kensington. Part of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection.
I couldn’t wrap up this post without some honorable mentions.
First, it is important to note that I discovered The Milestone Hotel and The Egerton House Hotel thanks to the reputable representation company, Rebecca Recommends. This company works closely with us travel specialists and provides support to our community with an extensive portfolio of hotels and destination companies. When you work with a travel advisor you gain access to the best of the best.
2. The Egerton House Hotel, another luxury five star property, located in Knightsbridge and also part of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection like The Milestone. With its 28 rooms, it gives more of private residence vibe which I personally love. I did not stay at this property but I did manage to experience their infamous tableside martinis which was a treat and experience in itself. It has a reputation as one of the best martini bars in London. When you visit, remember the “Egerton Slurp”;-) Check out my IG @SOL_BTRAVEL for video footage.
3. The Lanesborough. How else do you top off such a fabulous week but by ringing in the new year at this lavish property. They had different celebrations in various rooms. We chose to celebrate in their Library Bar complete with flowing champagne, canapes and an amazing DJ. The pictures below speak for themselves. A good time was had by all.

That is all for now. Keep an eye out for LONDON PART II…COMING SOON.
