So much to do and see in London. If you are a regular follower of my blog, you know by now that my photos and memories ARE my “souvenirs” created by my travel experiences. Now that doesn’t mean I won’t bring back some tangible souvenirs as well. My travel treasures also add to my memories long after my visit ends whether it’s via an article of clothing, accessory or a home decor item which serves up some great conversation when we are entertaining.
I recommend doing your research on the destination in advance to map out a tentative plan all while leaving room for the unexpected and a change of plans. Those usually deliver the best experiences & memories.
FIRST on the list… be sure take in the ARCHITECTURE of this beautiful city. Preferably on foot.
SECOND… It’s great to check off the must see LANDMARKS of a destination. Especially if it’s your first time visiting. If you have the budget for a private guide, that is a luxury item worth the cost and super helpful in a country where you don’t speak the local language. If you prefer to go sans guide which is what I usually do, I do recommend making reservations and purchasing tickets in advance.
THIRD… no surprise here, but I always research Flea Markets and Vintage Shops specifically for pieces that are unique to the destination. If this isn’t your thing, add some local small businesses to your list.
Hop on the London Underground “The Tube” for a quick and inexpensive form of transportation. They are super easy to maneuver.
A visit to BRICK LANE Vintage Market.
Shopping in SOHO & KNOTTING HILL.
Hopefully this inspires you to visit this great city. @SOL_BTRAVEL
