New Mexico PT III - Santa Fe 'n Style

SANTA FE, the capital of New Mexico, has plenty to offer and is a prime location to visit many of the surrounding smaller towns. The city of Santa Fe (meaning "holy faith" in Spanish), founded by Spanish colonists in 1610, makes it the oldest state capital in the United States. Aside from all of the rich history & culture you can find in New Mexico, downtown Santa Fe also offers shops, restaurants and art galleries. One of the many fond memories that will stay etched in my mind (and stomach) is the delicious southwestern cuisine of New Mexico. They have figured out a way to deliver spice just right!

If you are the kind of traveler that wants to stay in an area within walking distance to everything than you may want to consider “Rosewood, Inn of the Anasazi” or “The Inn of the Five Graces”. On the other hand, if you want a little escape from the foot traffic in town, I can’t think of a better place to stay than “Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe”. It is a convenient 10-minute drive to downtown Santa Fe and complimentary shuttles are offered to/from the plaza. If you want the best of both worlds, my suggestion is to split up your time at any of these properties.

Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe… is a true escape that automatically hits that reset button for you merely by its surroundings, fresh air and that special Four Seasons hospitality. It’s a placid, 65-room resort on 57 acres in the Sangre de Cristo foothills.

Just a couple of special touches you can look forward to depending on which room or suite you book… an authentic wood-burning Kiva fireplace complete with pinon wood or a hammock to lounge in on your patio while taking in the panoramic views.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before heading out for a complimentary guided hike… End your day with a cocktail & meal at their restaurant Terra while watching the sun set.

Take advantage of the spa amenities after a long day of exploring. My suggestion… grab your robe, head over to the sauna, jump in the jacuzzi and dry off in the warming room. Make it a complete experience and book one of their regionally inspired spa treatments.

Afterwards, you can retreat back to your room, sit on your patio and get lost in the star-filled sky. A perfect ending to a day in Santa Fe!

It’s all in the DETAILS… Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado is a partner hotel with Mercedes Benz. Book one of their suites and receive complimentary access to the fleet of cars on property…. Welcome Amenity with a twist - taking the time to actually find out what your favorite cocktail is - now that says welcome!
