During our visit to Cape Town we stayed at One&Only, Cape Town Resort, located in the heart of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. It is a luxury property overlooking the marina with panoramic views of Table Mountain.

Boulders Beach..... where you can find the African Penguins.

Cape Point... the tip of the Cape Peninsula which is in the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve. Keep an eye out for the Baboons and a word to the wise, don't feed them!

Hout Bay... a popular seaside neighborhood in Cape Town.
The Cape Winelands... We visited Franschhoek & Stellenbosch and stayed overnight in both towns. Until this day, this wine tasting experience remains at the top of my list. The rolling vineyards and the backdrop of majestic mountains while tasting premier South African wines... I can't imagine it gets much better! We stayed at Delaire Graff Estate in Stellenbosch and Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek.
Delaire Graff Estate.. exceptional and outstanding service. It gives the expression "Room with a View" a whole new meaning!

Le Quartier Francais... we booked the "Extraordinary Experiences Tour" which included a visit to the Lynx Wine Farm, a Charcuterie tasting at Bread & Wine and most importantly a visit to the Victor Verster Prison. This is where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated during his last fourteen months of imprisonment which made this a moving and memorable excursion. During the time of our visit, the only way to get a private tour was if you were a guest of Le Quartier Francais. I no longer see this experience listed on their website so I am not certain if it is still offered. Click on images below...
