Anantara Bophut Resort & Spa, Koh Samui. Our days here consisted of hanging out on the beach, eating authentic Thai food in local restaurants and daily massages. It doesn't get much better than that!
Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai - this resort was so beautiful and relaxing that you could easily never leave! BUT, you must because there is so much to do and see in Chiang Mai.
Ran-Tong Save & Rescue Elephant Centre. We did a lot of research trying to find a place that didn't mistreat the elephants. When we came across this one, we felt like it was the one. By no means am I an expert on this so I encourage everyone to do their own research. This was an unforgettable experience! Our elephants name was Surriya (which apparently has something to do with the SUN or at least that's what they told me;-) We fed them and rode them to a pond where we bathed them. This was the highlight of my trip and that is saying a lot because every day in Thailand was special! You can click on the link above for more info. on this centre.
Private Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Tour with Trails of Indochina.
...Private Tour continued onto Hmong Hill Tribe Village.
Saturday Walking Street Market. Don't worry if your feet start to hurt... plenty of stops along the way to get a quick foot massage;-)
Onto Bangkok.... Private Tour to Damnoen Saduak FLOATING MARKET with Travel Bound. A sensory experience you can't pass up.
Wrapped up the trip by hopping on the local ferry to visit The Grand Palace and Wat Pho Reclining Buddha. We couldn't leave without checking out a Muay Thai Boxing match. I wasn't prepared for this experience. Let's just put it this way, you wouldn't want to get on the bad side of any of these guys!
Until next time, Thailand! You are definitely on the list of places I would go back and visit again.
